Closing the Gap for Douglas County Student-Athletes

The Problem

1:900

High school athletic programs in Douglas County face a critical care gap known as the 1:900 problem—one athletic trainer responsible for roughly 900 student-athletes each season. This overwhelming ratio forces impossible decisions, like choosing between covering a state-required game at a stadium or supervising a high-contact football practice at school.
